saints rescue

Every month, barking babies™ sponsors a different senior dog in need with SAINTS. In 2008 & 2009 we help raise over $4000 for SAINTS! Thank you to all of those who attened our charity events. Next charity fundraiser will be Christmas 2010.

SAINTS was started in December 2004 after volunteers at other animal shelters saw many senior animals spending their last days in a shelter or pound. From the time they opened their doors, the number of animals in need has been astounding and ever-growing. When SAINTS opened it's first location, it started with 16 cats, 12 dogs and 2 rabbits. SAINTS has since found it's permanent home on 3 beautiful acres in Mission, BC with a warm and cozy home, a sturdy and well constructed barn, several outbuildings just waiting to be renovated for future use, plus fields to play in and a pond to swim in. They have found a little bit of heaven on earth for our very special friends.

Since December 2004, SAINTS has had over a hundred and fifty animals come through it's doors. Sixty-six of them have been adopted into wonderful loving homes. Seventy-three have passed away in loving care at SAINTS and the remaining seventy-five still call SAINTS their home.

They pledge to love them, to care for them, and make to their dreams come true. They promise each of them that they will never be alone again.

From the comfort of their personal computers, pet lovers can search for a pet that best matches their needs - how easy is that! They can then reference a shelter's web page and discover what services it offers.

barking babies™ created the "Dogs of Yaletown" calendar. We raised over $500.00 for Petfinder! Thank you to all those who purchased our 2006 & 2007 calendar.

BCSPCA

Founded in 1895, BCSPCA is the largest animal welfare organization of its kind in North America. They rely almost entirely on donations to support their work, providing cruelty investigations and prevention, sheltering, wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, education and advocacy programs, adoptions, and emergency rescue for nearly 50,000 abandoned, injured and abused animals in BC every year. In 2007, barking babies™ raised over $5000 for the BCSPCA! Thank you for all for your help and love!
