Thank to all those who attended - it was a great event pictures soon...

Get your groove on this July 14th, 6 - 8pm at barking babies™ Rock N' Roll pawty.
Gaga-fy your furry friend to bring out their inner diva--or Snoop Dog, depending--for the chance to win tons of best dressed pooch prizes! Dolled up dogs will have the opportunity to walk the red carpet and get snapped by a professional pup-arazzi as they step out of the limo in style!

All dogs are welcome to come celebrate with us one smokin' haute summer! Look for more info in our next monthly sniff and start dreaming up those doggylicious outfits; Madogna, anyone?!

dog sleding team!

During the Olympics, Canada's Northern House was downtown Vancouver to educate the world on the rich heritage of our part of the country. barking babies™ was proud to host an authentic dog sled team, part of the Canada's North team!

Comprised of five Malamute Huskies and two mushers, this stunning team of dogs was stationed outside the store on February 15th & 19th.

christmas pawty! - over $500.00 dontated to SAINTS rescue!

Get festive Wednesday, December 16th as we celebrate the holidays with cheer and tasty treats! From 6 - 9pm, 1188 homer st. will be serving cider, snacks & hot chocolate for puppy parents, while the dogs enjoy dishes prepared with love by the elves at barking babies™.

Santa's sack of activities for the evening includes a dog photographer on hand to snap your little Snoopy in a Christmas outfit--from Santa suits to Reindeer hats--in front of the Christmas tree, as well as 5 stockings stuffed with Christmas presents for door prizes!

Tickets are $10/person and 100% of the proceeds will be going to the Senior Animals In Need Today Society. Please bring a donation of blankets, treats or toys for SAINTS, to be a Santa to an animal in need. Visit their website for a Wish List of food.

itty bitty birthday bash

On Wednesday, June 17th, 2009, so many wonderful friends helped us celebrate our Yorkie Fashion Director, Tallulah Belle's 4th Birthday at our boutique at 1188 homer st!
 
We served our custom drink, the Lu-wow!, homemade mini-meatballs and maximum fun. Nicole won for the best dressed dog!

Here's the awesome meatball recipe:
 
1 lb ground turkey2 carrots finely grated
1 tspn garlic powder
1 egg - beaten
1/2 cup green beans finely chopped
3/4 cup unseasoned breadcrumbs 
 
Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F, combine all ingredients - really get your hands in there to mix thoroughly! Roll into mini-meatballs, place on cookie sheet, and bake until golden brown.
 
Let 'em cool before the dogs go kookoo on them! 
 

must love dogs event

The event was a HUGE success! On November 12th, 2008, hundreds of single dog lovers and their dogs met up at BCSPCA's 1st annual singles' charity event. barking babies™ hosted a fashion show that was a smash hit! Put your pawprint here for pictures!

the 4th annual howl-o-ween pooch party

barking babies™ once again threw down with our in-store howl-o-ween bash. A crazy herd of fur-babies got all dressed up and came by the boo-tique to mingle and party with their mommies and daddies. As usual, there were free treats for tricks! A pair of Dachshunds in hotdog costumes was voted best costume, and there were 2nd and 3rd place winners too. Pictures can be found here!

2008 pampered pooch fashion show

barking babies™ held it's 3rd annual Pampered Pooch Fashion Show at the Vancouver Home + Interior Design Show at BC Place and the event was a success! Thank you to all the celebrities, especially Steven Shelling and Fred Lee for being our guest emcees and to all our dashing dog models for knockin em' dead on the catwalk!

The 2nd of our breed-specific appreciation parties for all the Chihuahua addicts in our barking babies™ family was GREAT! Thank you to all the fantastic Chihuahua owners and their dogs that participated an had el fantastico time. It was loco! See the party here!

The first of our breed-specific appreciation parties for all the Yorkie addicts in our barking babies™ family was terrier-tastic! Thank you to all of the fantastic Yorkie owners and their dogs that participated and had a GREAT time with us. That many Yorkies filling one space was like a herd of sugared-up children running in every direction looking for fun and excitement. See the party here!

Colin and Justin from HGTV's Colin and Justin's Home Heist hosted the barking babies™ 2nd annual Vancouver Home Show Pampered Pooch Fashion Show. Thank you to all the celebrities and their dogs who participated to help us raise some much needed funds for the BCSPCA.

2007 howl-o-ween party

Thanks to our great family of barking babies™ doggies and parents, plus our appearance on City TV's Breakfast Television that morning, our Howl-OOOOO-Ween Pooch Party on October 31st was a smashing success! About 50 costumed canines partied with each other and snacked on amazing organic treats.
